Queensland Safety Certificate (RWC) Vehicle Inspections
A safety inspection checks important vehicle components to determine whether the vehicle meets the applicable safety requirements at the time of inspection. UMR Engines can also inspect and repair many of the mechanical items identified during an inspection.
Safety Certificate Inspections
A Queensland Safety Certificate inspection covers important vehicle safety components and systems.
Depending on the vehicle, inspection areas include items such as:
- Brakes
- Steering
- Suspension
- Tyres and wheels
- Lights and electrical safety items
- Windscreen and related components
- Vehicle body and structural items
- Other applicable safety components
The purpose of the inspection is to assess the vehicle against the applicable Queensland safety inspection requirements.
Does Your Vehicle Need Repairs?
If an inspection identifies worn, damaged or defective mechanical components, UMR Engines has the workshop facilities to carry out many of the required repairs.
This can include work involving:
- Brake systems
- Steering components
- Suspension components
- Cooling systems
- Mechanical repairs
- Vehicle servicing
Any repair requirements can be discussed with you before additional work is undertaken.
Regular Vehicle Safety Inspections
A vehicle does not need to wait until it requires a Safety Certificate before important safety components are inspected.
Regular servicing provides an opportunity to inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres and other mechanical components for wear or developing problems. Identifying these issues early can help keep the vehicle safe and reliable between scheduled services.
Buying or Selling a Vehicle?
Safety Certificates are commonly associated with the sale or transfer of registered vehicles in Queensland.
The requirements can vary according to the vehicle and circumstances, so current Queensland Government requirements should always be checked where there is any uncertainty about whether a certificate is required.
More Than an RWC Inspection
UMR Engines is a mechanical and engine-reconditioning workshop rather than simply an inspection service.
If a vehicle requires mechanical attention, our workshop can diagnose and repair many of the problems identified during servicing or inspection, including brakes, steering, suspension and other mechanical systems.
Donβt Wait for an RWC Inspection
Regular servicing and vehicle inspections can identify potentially dangerous faults before they become a serious safety risk.
